Keeping Track of Jack

I love the Muppets soundtrack! Mom and Dad even let me watch the movie. Pretty much every day I ask to listen to the Muppets, and I usually end up singing or dancing along.

Just thought you might want to know…

Patrick came over today to cut some dead branches off one of our trees out front. I got my chainsaw and and safety equipment and sat with Mom to watch Patrick work. It was very exciting- I can’t wait to grow up to be like Patrick!

In March our friend (and Mom and Dad’s realtor) had a party at Turner Hall, a gymnastics facility. The kids all got to try out the gymnastics stuff. There was a trampoline, a bouncy floor, and a foam pit. I had a great time playing in the foam pit- it was so much fun to jump into it and crawl out again. We got to eat lunch and have cake too. Thanks Kelly for inviting us to such a fun party!

March was warmer than usual, according to Mom. I loved it! I got to go to the park and play on the baseball field. It was a bit muddy and I got stuck. Dad was there to capture it on video.

Can you believe it, I’m 3! I’ve really come a long way- from this:

I got to celebrate my birthday twice! On my real birthday, Miles and Noah came over to play. We played trains and trucks and did our usual thing. Then we got to have cupcakes and everyone sang Happy Birthday. It was a lot of fun to celebrate with my friends. Mom and Dad got me the Hot Wheels Wall Track which is really fun. We set it up in my room and played with my friends.

Then, on Saturday, everyone came to celebrate with cake and ice cream. Bridget, Mike, and Charlie came all the way from Nebraska; Grandma Karen and Grandpa Jeff came; Cousin Sherry came with John; Joe was there; Uncle Ross, Brianna, Emma; Aunt Jess and Uncle Ryan; Michael and Marissa and Levi; and lots others. I was a very lucky boy and got a lot of really neat gifts- another (bigger) tractor, cool clothes, a backpack, books, puzzles- it was great! I have such amazing family and friends- I am extra lucky to be 3!

Mom and Dad said it was a pretty mild winter this year. It wasn’t super cold and we didn’t get all that much snow. The few times we did get snow I really liked playing in it. I ran around the yard, played at the park, and even got to go sledding with Miles! I’m sure next year will be more snowy and I’ll get more sledding sessions in…

I hosted another New Year’s Eve party with Mom and Dad. I had my friends Miles, Noah, and Levi over to help celebrate. There were lots of other grown ups too. We got to eat pizza and play. Then at midnight (Mom says it was actually 7:30) we got to watch a ball drop and then make lots of noise to welcome 2012. I had a great time!

Christmas at the Hampton’s. Lots of presents – I got a truck and trailer with hay bales. And Brianna and Patrick got me my very own chainsaw! I was ready to go straight to work with Grandpa and Patrick cutting down trees.

Christmas morning at 710 was very exciting. When I got up and went to the living room, I saw that Santa Claus had come! He ate the cookies I left out for him and the water for the reindeer was gone too! And the best part: he left me a bike! It’s orange and I can’t wait to learn how to ride it. I also got a stocking with some cool stuff in it. Mom and Dad took some video, but I’m not sure where they put it, so I’ll have to post it later. Sorry, no pictures from this one…

On Christmas Eve we packed up the car with presents, snow boots, and food and headed to Uncle Howie’s house. I had a great time playing with Allyana and opening presents. I got an awesome tractor and played with it immediately. After plowing the kitchen floor and eating supper, Mom and Dad and I headed back home to wait for Santa!
